Modern Classical
Classical music renegade Francesco Tristano is known for his inventive approach to the genre. On one hand a virtuoso pianist, specialising in baroque music and contemporary composition; on the other an electronic music fan. The end result is intoxicating and wonderfully executed on Not For Piano. A collection of his own compositions as well as piano interpretations of Detroit techno and electronica classics such as ‘Strings of Life’ by Derrick May, ‘The Bells’ by Jeff Mills, and ‘Overand’ by Autechre.
