Guilty as Charged

One of grime’s originators, Flowdan, is back with a new EP "Guilty As Charged" to close out 2020. The four-track offering will be released on Toronto label Bare Selection on December 18, 2020. The EP matches Flowdan’s dark lyricism and trademark flows with productions by Toronto’s UK underground stalwarts Tre Mission, who lends his innovative talent behind the boards to “Light Work” and “Pump Fake,” and Freeza Chin, whose signature stuttery grime and trap sounds set the stage on “Eagle Cry” and “Plans In Motion.” “Pre-pandemic, Flowdan had been passing through Toronto for a show, so we got in the studio together and that got the ball rolling for this release,” producer and Bare Selection co-founder Freeza Chin shares of the release. “Nowadays so much collaboration is done through sending each other files, stems or sessions, and even moreso since the pandemic. This was one of those rare times that we really got to be in the room together working on music.”
