In between his second and third albums, Eric Church apparently had more songs flowing out of him than he could fit on one album. The result is the *Caldwell County* EP. The first three tunes are straight-across-the-plate heartland country rockers, the kind that Church\'s signature blend of twang and bang is made for. The fourth\'s a curveball: a solo acoustic take on Sammy Johns\' \'70s hit \"Chevy Van\" that suggests Church has a passion for the golden age of AM pop.
