A prolific emcee and veteran of San Francisco\'s underground hip-hop scene, Equipto has been around for many years and has dropped literally dozens of albums: as a solo artist, in collaboration projects (with cats like Andre Nickatina, Mike Marshall, and Berner), and as a member of longtime indie-rap favorites Bored Stiff. On *Ilyich* (the title is also his government name), he does what he does best, delivering exceptional lyricism and thoughtful wordplay over lush, highly musical production from Bean One and A-Plus, among others. Released on his own label, Solidarity Records, it features longtime homies like San Quinn, Z-Man, Spank Pops, and Sunspot Jonz. Standout tracks include \"The Greatest (Feelin\'),\" \"Heart & Soul,\" \"When I Die,\" and the Compton\'s Most Wanted remake \"Rhymes 2 Funky\" with Sick YG.
