Baltimore’s Dope Body are prolific, averaging one release of scuzzy, groovy noise-rock per year since they started in 2009. Kunk is more of a prolonged howling squall than its direct predecessor, Lifer: They seem to be stretching themselves on this record, searching to create something meaningful in an ugly world.
Pieced together from songs birthed during the Lifer sessions, Kunk is testament to both Dope Body's work ethic and their quality control.
