Active since 2015, DJ Varsovie has always showed interest in playing with different electronic music genres and never sticking to one. His singular aesthetic his driven by 70's and 80's disco clubs with influences from goth and millenial techno. He sees himself as a ballroom crooner singing in despair the end of youth as the disco ball falls in slow motion. Collaborating with artists such as I Hate Models or Blind Delon among other dark lords, DJ Varsovie shows us his first LP ‘September’ two months ago. All work and no play for DJ Varsovie as he releases a new LP, composed of 8 tracks and 4 remixes.  Side A sets the mood straight away with 'Sombre Ibiza'. The song begins with a rather hard bassline, evolving into a melody punctuated by a background noise that echoes the intoxication on the dancefloor. DJ Varsovie's voice, characteristic of his music, only appears towards the end of the track, and is more present on the subsequent ‘Sydney', a more melodious and sensual piece. The slamming vocals  “When he touches your body" engage us in a cycling groove with several waves of melody. ‘Shadows on a Dancefloor' starts with complex percussion before dragging us into a frenetic energy. The second part contains remixes. 14anger's version is driven by a strong rhythmic that intertwines with softer bits. The atmosphere grows thicker with the remix of Under Black Helmet, who offers a striking techno from the very first notes. Adding some acid loops that are enough to make this song into the next banger. Geinst ends with a down-tempo version, which combines the finest of ambient and techno.
