As much as Khaled enjoys working with an ensemble cast, the results are riveting when he gives a song over to a single rapper. On “I’m On” Nas’ introspective flow grips the track like Spiderman to a skyscraper, while Game brings his trademark emotion to the faintly bluesy stomp of “Red Light.” Every song on *We Global* puts a premium on fortitude and melodrama, and while similar-minded tracks usually collapse under their own weight, DJ Khaled is one of the few producers who can actually deliver on his astronomical aspirations.

The Palestinian-American Miami radio and mixtape DJ follows the A-list "We Takin' Over" and his surprisingly coherent Listennn: The Album with a record lead by another outstanding posse cut and the Kanye West collab "Go Hard".
