Arguably today\'s most popular and powerful mixtape maker, DJ Drama has put out countless projects over the last decade or so (including his hugely successful *Gangsta Grillz* series) and is the in-house DJ for T.I.\'s Grand Hustle label. Though he\'s originally from Philly, his music is pretty much exclusively Dirty South/trap-style, with no shortage of bright synths, skittering snares, deep bass bumps, and plenty of handclaps. *Third Power* is his third proper album. He joins forces with a gang of modern-day rap and R&B superstars, such as Gucci Mane (\"Me & My Money\"), Akon (\"Locked Down\" with Ya Boy), Fabolous (\"Oh My\"), and Chris Brown and J. Cole (\"Undercover\"). Fellow City of Brotherly Love compatriots Freeway and Young Chris get loose on \"Lay Low,\" hipster rap favorite Wale goes off on the Bob James–sampling \"Never See You Again,\" and The Clipse\'s Pusha T teams with French Montana for the melodramatic \"Everything That Glitters.\"

That’s a lot of heat, and with the second line standing strong with names like B.o. B, Akon, and Freeway, Third Power puts Drama’s releases back in the general vicinity of “very necessary.”
