Cold Rhymes Records are proud to present the latest release from Darko The Super: Year of the Darko 2018 was a hell of a year for the Philadelphia artist, as he blessed the world with no less than 10 albums and now he returns with a new project that encapsulates the spirit of all of those previous offerings. Year of the Darko is a mixtape of sorts and features 20 of Darko’s favorite tracks from the year, while simultaneously offering a fine insight into the mind of one of the most prolific artists of the current generation of hip hop entities. While Darko himself remains the main star of the show, he is joined by a strong cast of supporting artists, who help him to bring his art to life. There are guest features from the likes of Homeboy Sandman, Serengeti, MC Paul Barman, Lil B, Mr. MFN eXquire, Moka Only, Harvey Cliff MC, ialive and Height Keech, as well as some solid production credits from Starchildluke, Gloam, Big Baby Gandhi and Amaze 88. There is also some exquisitely crafted input from Darko’s production alter ego, Doc Heller. The project itself is hosted by Height Keech, with the ever-capable Steel Tipped Dove on mixing duties. The whole project acts as a superb introduction for those listeners who might only be discovering Darko for the first time and is an ideal springboard for diving into the obscene amount of music that he has created over the past 12 months.
