Ramblings of an Angry Old Man
Hailing from New York\'s notorious Queensbridge Houses, Craig G put out his first single in 1985, and he\'s become best known for his work with Marley Marl and as a member of The Juice Crew. He costarred on the beloved posse cut \"The Symphony\" in 1988, yet for some reason solo success has eluded him; his major-label albums *The Kingpin* and *Now, That\'s What I\'m Talking About* came and went with little recognition. Though quiet for most of the \'90s, he eventually re-emerged, finding love from underground and overseas heads and putting out the quality indie projects *This Is Now* and *Operation: Take Back Hip-Hop*. For his latest endeavor, he connects with a wide assortment of co-conspirators, including producers Dremost, Marco Polo, LMNO, DJ Nastee, and Da Beatminerz, plus guest emcees Sadat X, M. Cheeks, Devin the Dude, and Big Pooh. Most of the tracks here—notably \"Classic Personified,\" \"Call That Hip Hop,\" and \"Money Don\'t Matter\"—address his OG status and the wack state of today\'s rap music.
