Returning after a six-year hiatus, the Florida indie troupe Copeland pick up in 2014 where they left off on 2008\'s *You Are My Sunshine*. This is a band that\'s never stopped evolving, with the lo-fi fuzz of early albums giving way to an increasingly melodic sonic palette. Despite the break, *Ixora* is Copeland\'s most sonically luxurious work. \"Lavender\" is propelled by a drum machine and fidgety synths that recall Radiohead, while the somber \"World Turn\" features a melancholy sax solo. Singer Aaron Marsh remains the focus, promising longtime fans: \"I can make you feel young again,\" as if no time had passed.

After a six-year layoff from recording, and four years after staging a farewell tour, contemplative indie rockers Copeland reunited in the studio in 2014 to create a new studio album, Ixora.
