Cool
Colleen Green's third album, Cool, marks something of a departure for the singer/songwriter as she leaves behind well-cultivated lo-fi pop punk roots in favor of a more sophisticated alt-rock sound.
Colleen Green is endlessly cool, as she has proven over three albums, all adorned with her ever-present sunglasses and references to old Descendants records. 2015’s I Want to Grow Up, her last record of punk-tinged guitar pop, set expectations high for her follow-up, expectations that Green has been all too happy to put aside.
Fans of pop music and guitar rock will enjoy Colleen Green. Her hooks are immediate and memorable and her guitar lines are interesting and a bit unusual.
