A certifiable O.G. repping for Vallejo, Calif., Celly Cel has been doing his thing for 20 years now, since dropping his first single (\"Lifestyle of a Mack\") in 1992 and his much-loved debut, *Heat 4 Yo Azz*, two years later. Since then, he\'s worked with a wide array of Bay Area artists, including legends like E-40 and B-Legit and more obscure cats such as Criminalz and The Hillside Stranglaz. *Big Faces* is a five-track EP that, in an interesting twist, is inspired by a novel of the same name that he wrote. It follows the fates of a crew of friends who run a successful carjacking ring and get caught up with the mob, the cops, and the Russians. The music here is great: criminalistic but upbeat jams that feature familiar homies WC, C-Bo, B-Legit, and Cousin Fik. \"Ask About Me,\" \"Slappin\',\" and \"Addicted 2 Pretty Bytchez\" are standouts.
