Sound In Silence is proud to welcome bvdub to its family, presenting his new album Yours Are Stories Of Sadness. bvdub is the solo project of Brock Van Wey, based in San Francisco, California. During the last decade his music, ranging from ambient to deep techno, has received critical acclaim from many magazines, webzines, blogs and radio shows worldwide and he is now considered one of the most interesting electronic music composers of nowadays. He has released tens of albums and EPs on labels such as Darla, n5MD, Home Normal, AY, Glacial Movements Records, Distant Noise Records, his own Quietus Recordings and many others, while he has also released music under his real name and the aliases of Earth House Hold and East Of Oceans. Yours Are Stories Of Sadness differs from the earlier bvdub releases, comprising nineteen shorter instrumental tracks, each around three or four minutes long, rather than his usual long-form emotional themes. Each track depicts a time in which he remembered the moment of a true story that took place in 2012. This different approach is so refreshing and inspiring that finally makes the album one of his best to date. All the elements of his signature bvdub sound are still here and with a wall of deep chords of beautifully lush tones, sentimental melodies & melancholic drones he manages to create an absolute ambient masterpiece. Yours Are Stories Of Sadness is a sublime album, soothing in all aspects. This is a limited edition of 300 handmade and hand-numbered collectible copies. It is packaged in a lovely hand-stamped 127mm x 127mm 360 gsm reddish-brown cardboard envelope with the front cover image printed on a polaroid style photo paper and an insert sheet containing tracklist and information printed on a 160 gsm dusty purple cardboard.
