Fever Dream
One half of Everything But The Girl allows his strong bluesy vocal to take centre stage for his second solo album. Collaborator David Gilmore\'s Pink Floyd prints are all over the ‘70s guitar meanderings and up warmth of the vocal. Considering his London roots, there\'s distinct Americana: \"Gradually\" is bluesy and bittersweet and the jazz lounge strains of \"Fever Dream\" are nicely evocative. This yearning nostalgia continues on the electric reflections of \"Bricks and Wood\" and the swoonsome \"Running With the Front Runners\".
Ben Watt's third solo album finds the Everything But the Girl co-founder continuing to explore his reignited love for live instrumentation.
With 2014's Hendra, DJ, producer, label owner, and author Ben Watt resumed his career as a solo singer/songwriter after 31 years as a collaborator with Tracey Thorn (his wife) in Everything But the Girl.
