\"Pompeii\" was released in 2013 but erupted in 2014, cementing Bastille as one of the hottest new bands in rock. *Other People\'s Heartache* is the third installment of their mixtape/collaboration series, and in addition to tiding fans over between albums it serves to illustrate just how diverse the London band\'s sonic palette is. \"Weapon,\" featuring Angel Haze, is synth-heavy industrial hip-hop, while \"Torn Apart\" features a sturdy thump designed for dancefloors. With its churning beats and ominous guitars, \"The Diver\" leverages the band\'s trademark grandiosity, whereas things lighten up on the Haim collaboration \"Bite Down,\" a swaggering slab of soul-funk.
