Six years after the release of their self-produced sophomore album, 2010’s *Transit Transit*, the cultish L.A. electro outfit returns with new, experimental beats and textures courtesy of Beyoncé collaborator Boots. *PUSSY\'S DEAD* is a moody, Radiohead-like mix of raspy, somber rock—as heard in the catchy “Change My Head” or the nocturnal electronics of “Soft Scene,” a spooky cut that drips Carla Azar’s sultry soprano over sinister drums and bass.
