Love & Desolation

In 2011, I fell in love with 1985. After a lifetime of dismissing the eighties as cheesy and juvenile, I finally saw through the washes of reverb to the spirit of the songs themselves and the way that they make you feel: like you're riding a unicorn to the top of a mountain made of laser beams in outer space. Which is the feeling I tried to capture in 9 months' work on LOVE & DESOLATION, a record that is at once completely eighties and completely me, now, wearing gold spandex.
