Season of the Sparks
Hello. It's over ten years since 'Season Of The Sparks' was released. I have very fond memories of recording it and it's my pleasure to make it available on Bandcamp. The album saw me joining the stable of legendary record label. Chemikal Underground Records. I had been a fan of the label for many years, first discovering them through the records of the mighty Arab Strap. 'Season Of The Sparks' won The Choice Music Prize in March 2010 at a big event in Vicar Street in Dublin. The Choice Music Prize is the Irish equivalent of the Mercury. I was gobsmacked. I take it down from time to time to dust it. My house is very dusty. I'm typing this message without knowing where it's going. Does anyone read these things? I mean we all have so much reading material to get through, don't we? You should see all the books in my 'must-read pile'. If you'd like to know which books are in the pile, drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you. Oh, I've attached the original artwork proofs for 'Season Of The Sparks'. I have no idea if they'll wreak havoc with your device if you download them. I mean, they were meant as printer's proofs, after all. Anyway, I salute you for reading this... and for supporting artists. The flint makes the spark, the spark makes the flame and the flame lights the lantern. x AC
